Early Years Caregiver-Mediated Coaching

Do you have concerns about your toddler’s development or are waiting for a diagnosis? We can work with you to enrich your language and play interactions with your child. Using naturalistic developmental behavioural intervention (NDBI), we will teach you to recognize and optimize natural play and language opportunities throughout your daily routines.

Has your family recently completed the caregiver-mediated early years program through the OAP? We provide booster sessions for Project ImPACT participants. Some families may wish to continue working on the skills learned with periodic observation and feedback. These booster sessions can be provided alone or along with our plan for your child’s early behavioural intervention.

*Please note that Project ImPACT and other NDBI programs are offered free of charge through the Ontario Autism Program for registered children between the ages of 12-48 months. Please click the following link to determine if you are eligible and to find a provider near you:

Consultation

If you have an existing BCBA in your home-based program, clinic, or agency and your team is interested in a brief consultation to troubleshoot a specific skill domain or other presenting problem, we can help. We provide consultation to your BCBAs to help with skill assessment, programming direction, therapist training, and running more labour intensive functional behaviour assessments. We are available to provide consultations in-person in the GTA or virtually throughout Ontario.

ABA Implementation and Supervision

Together, we will assess your child’s strengths and needs, communicate the results and recommendations, and collaborate with you to develop goals and a program for intervention.

We will write an Individualized Service Plan based on your goals and implement the program by actively involving you, as caregivers, in successfully supporting your child.

Caregiver-mediated intervention can be delivered directly with you in-home, in the community, or through teletherapy.

Where direct intervention with your child is recommended, we can work with you to develop a team to best support your child. We have some therapist availability to provide direct intervention depending on the goals, location, and modality (in-person vs virtual).

Counselling

We offer counselling/psychotherapy to autistic children and youth and their families who may benefit from a talk-therapy approach. Services are provided by a Registered Social worker and provided via teletherapy.

The length of therapy can vary depending on the individual's needs and goals. We encourage you to book a 15-minute free consult to explore if this is a good fit for you.
